What is CrossFit:
Training on a machine does NOT prepare you for real-life functional movements; it only makes you stronger at manipulating THAT machine.  CrossFit workouts are designed and coached by a one of our certified CrossFit Trainers who each have extensive experience in the fitness industry, as well as a variety of expertise. The trainer leads clients through increasingly athletic movements, guiding people of all ability levels toward improved health and athletic ability. Any of our clients will tell you that the personal training and the group workouts are fun and challenging. The sense of fun and variety (never knowing what the workout will be until they arrive) keeps them coming back, so that they get the results they want, and the camaraderie shared by our CrossFit community encourages each of us to reach our full athletic potential.  When one client reaches a goal, the excitement is shared by the whole group.



Equipment

"We don't use machines, we become them"

When we use a wide variety of equipment in a combination of training techniques that increase the skill demand and interest level. Sumner CrossFit equipment includes: Concept 2 rowing machines, pull-up bars, dumbbells, Olympic barbells and plates, kettlebells, climbing ropes, gymnastics rings, tumbling mats, jump ropes, 8-10-16-20 and 24-inch jump-up platforms, tires, medicine balls, Spinner Bikes, and space to run.  We constantly vary the workouts to use this equipment in multiple functions movements.


How to get started:

  • Contact us to set up your 1 week CrossFit Camp, a individualized introduction to the CrossFit movements, workouts and nutritional plan. 235.321.2181
  • Camp times: 9:00 AM or 5:00 PM Monday-Thursday. 
    • If these times don't work for you, call us to set up an appointment.
  • After your Camp, you are ready to join any of the group training sessions listed below.

**Open Gym sessions are only for those who have an advanced understanding of the CrossFit program and have been given approval by a Sumner CrossFit trainer.  These sessions should be used in moderation (pick-up workouts very rarely) as they do not provide the structure, motivation and instruction of a group session.
